Our Story

Usually people ask how Brandon (I like to refer to him as B) and I met. It's simple really. Shortly after Thanksgiving 2009, I was sitting in a meeting at work when my good friend Cami passed me a note. The note had several questions listed and two boxes after each question to check yes or no. How was my day? Did I have a good weekend? Did I want to get chinese for lunch tomorrow? Did I have any gum? Would you go out with my brother? Check yes or no. Needless to say, I checked yes, to all of them.

She gave B my number but I never heard from the man. This meant I had to take things into my own hands. Getting his number from her, I sent him a text (Yes, I know, daring). We talked breifly via text messaging and then nothing. The following week, she asked if we had gone out. I let her know we had talked briefly but that was it. Next thing I know she is taking my picture with her phone. Being in a blond moment, I did not think anything of it. Minutes later, there is a text from B; "Dinner? Tonight?". His little sister had given him a hard time about not taking me out. Now, I can't blame Brandon for being hesitant, when you add both our situations and the fact that we were both divorced, not having my picture made it hard to want to take me out.

That night we met for dinner at Roosters in Layton. The second he walked in the door I can remember thinking, "WOW". Brandon is tall, sexy, cute and well, drop dead gorgeous. Slap on top of that intelligence, warmth and a testimony and I was hooked! We sat and talked all night long and I laughed so hard at moments. It was definately too good to be true. I had to make him give me a side hug good bye so I wasn't too sure. :) However, we went for dessert at Applebee's the next night, Wednesday. Thursday nights, I went to my knitting group. I told him where it was and dared him to show up. He did. Hmmmm.....

Our Eternal Love Affair started that December and has been so real and amazing ever since. So who knew? Checking the box yes to go out with my friends brother has sent me down a path I would never have imagined, but I'm glad I couldn't have. The best, most wonderful things in this life are the ones we can't totally comprehend and mostly require faith.
